The London Buddhist Centre, 51 Roman Road, London, E2 0HU

Base Building Consultancy was instructed by The London Buddhist Centre to produce a specification of works in relation to the external repairs and decorations to the London Buddhist Centre in Bethnal Green.

The London Buddhist Centre is a six-story Grade II-listed Victorian building located in the Globe Road conservation area.  The storeys are arranged over a basement and five upper floors. The client also wished to address issues with roof leaks and repairs to the chimney stacks.  Generally, works included local repairs to brickwork, joinery, glazing, roof coverings, gutters, lead flashings, ironmongery, and decorations.

Base Building Consultancy has vast experience in preparing specifications of work for external repairs and decoration projects on both residential and commercial properties. We understand that to successfully undertake works of this nature, clear lines of communication are essential, and to achieve this, one of Base Building Consultancy’s directors always leads the design and supervision team.

Base Building Consultancy undertook a detailed survey of the estate and prepared a specification of repair and decoration works. Base Building Consultancy obtained tender prices and reported them to the client, making a recommendation for appointment. The supervision of the works was in the form of weekly site attendance, minuted monthly progress meetings, and monthly valuations of completed works.
