NIGEL GRIFFITHS

Founder

Base Building Consultancy was established by Nigel Griffiths to provide building surveying, project management and party wall surveying services to commercial clients. Prior to incorporating the company, Base Building Consultancy, Nigel worked at P.H. Warr, as head of building surveying in London, and prior to this at Keningtons LLP.

Nigel also spent some of his career working for Wilks Head & Eve, whose senior partner at the time was instrumental in the development of the Party Wall, etc. Act of 1996. Nigel holds a BSc in Building Surveying and is a member of the Pyramus & Thisbe Club, a specific organisation whose members are seen as experts in party wall matters and neighbourly disputes.

Nigel is a Chartered Building Surveyor and member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He regularly chairs the RICS assessment of professional competence panels for applicants wishing to become members of the RICS. Nigel has extensive experience in all aspects of commercial building surveying and has advised clients on properties throughout the UK.

Jeremy has joined us as a graduate building surveyor, after gaining his degree at UCL. He has spent 18 months previously dealing with planning applications, but has decided to go down the route of Building Surveying
